Serving You in Uncertain Times

Home and Business Site Visits Underway to Provide Safe Reliable Natural Gas

Southeast Gas is monitoring the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and stands ready to maintain reliable natural gas service for all customers. Safety and security for our customers, employees and the communities we serve is our first priority.

“Following the recommendations of the Center for Disease Control, we are continuously establishing and updating protocol to help prevent the spread of sickness and to protect our Southeast Gas family,” said Greg Henderson, Southeast Gas President & CEO. Some of the additional preventative measures include:

  • Increased sanitizing of public spaces in our offices throughout the day with a focus on high traffic areas of each office (door handles, countertops, etc.).
  • Health precautions recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), such as frequent hand washing or using alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60 percent alcohol to stay healthy.
  • Reminders to employees to stay home if they are sick.

To reduce social interaction, customers are encouraged to manage their accounts from home through free convenience services like on-line bill payment, pay-by-phone at (855) 291-3331 or pay-by-text. You can also mail your payment to us at P.O. Box 1298, Andalusia, Alabama 36420. Southeast Gas has also implemented rigorous cleaning standards for public spaces in our offices, should you have a need to visit us in person.

Did you know you can also make requests from home? You can call us at (800) 660-8683 or visit us here on-line when you have a service need, if you need to transfer or connect a new service, or if you are moving and need to disconnect service.

In an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19, we are asking customers with a scheduled service call or appliance installation to identify if anyone in the home is experiencing flu-like symptoms or medical issues related to the virus. In these cases, we will take steps to avoid going inside the home, keeping our employees, customers and the community safe. In some instances, we may need to reschedule the appointment for a later time. Rest assured, though, in case of a natural gas emergency, we will take necessary precautions and respond based on our existing protocol.

Our system and workforce is geographically distributed in a manner that allows for redundancy in our staffing and gas supply needs. We have reviewed critical business functions to ensure continued operations throughout this event. If there is a natural gas need or emergency, our staff will take necessary precautions and respond based on our existing protocol.

Southeast Gas is committed to serving the communities in which we operate. We will continue to monitor updates from federal, state and local agencies and react as needed to ensure the operational integrity of our system, safety of our employees and customers.

We’re all in this together, and we’ll get through this together. Thank you for allowing us to serve you.
