Southeast Serves Emergency Responders
Every day Southeast Gas employees serve communities, and in October, that service goes next level. This year, the Southeast Serves team met with firefighters throughout Southeast Alabama to talk natural gas safety, thank them for the work they do, and give them a small token of appreciation.
Marketing and Communications Manager Mitch Thorn coordinated visits to municipal fire stations in Abbeville, Andalusia, Brundidge, Daleville, Elba, Enterprise, Eufaula, Greenville, Headland, Luverne, Opp, Ozark, Pike Road, and Troy from October 11 through October 25. “It’s been great to visit with our local emergency responders this month,” Thorn said. “We’ve even had a chance to learn the history behind many of the fire department buildings and listen to challenges and stories from these community neighbors.”
Company volunteers also helped with Andalusia Elementary School’s Fall Festival, completed campus beautification projects at Hidden Lake Primary School and Enterprise High School, and packed meals for underserved students through the Full Tummy Project. Collectively, Southeast Gas employees shared their hearts, their talents, and more than 250 volunteer hours with neighbors and friends during October.
