If your home or business was built after 1990, or if you’ve had natural gas outlets added in your home since then, corrugated stainless steel tubing (CSST) may have been installed. If lightning strikes a structure containing CSST that is not bonded properly, there is a risk it can travel along the structure’s natural gas piping system and could cause a leak or, in some cases, a fire.

Southeast Gas can inspect your building or home for CSST if you can’t do it yourself. If we find CSST, our technicians will make sure it’s bonded properly.

Smell Gas. Act Fast.

If you smell rotten eggs, leave the area and dial 911 to report an emergency or call Southeast Gas at 800-660-8683 to report a possible natural gas leak.
